A look into Heaven: From the Bible

Heaven is created by God

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1)

"... Him Who lives for ever and ever, Who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it ..." (Rev 10:6)

It is where God dwells

"And may You hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place.  Hear in heaven Your dwelling place: and when You hear, forgive." (1 Kings 8:30)

"In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven,  hallowed be Your Name." (Matt 6:9)

God sends His judgments from there

"Then the LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the LORD out of the heavens." (Gen 19:24)

"The adversaries of the Lord will be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them." (1 Sam 2:10)

"Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol the King of heaven, all of Whose works are truth, and His ways justice." (Dan 4:37)

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness." (Rom 1:18)

All suffering will cease

"They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb Who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters.  And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." (Revelation 7:16-17)

Only the spirit, not the body, goes there

"But now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 15:50)

It is paradise to all who goes there

"'And Jesus said to him [the thief on the cross], 'Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.'" (Luke 23:43)

"I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago - whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows - such a one was caught up to the third heaven ... how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words which it is not lawful for a man to utter." (2 Corinthians 12:2-4)

Few people enter

"Narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:14)

People who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior enter

"Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven." (Luke 10:20)

"You have come ... to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven ... " (Heb 12:23)
