Dumitru
Duduman
A Prophet to the United States
of America
Or, A Story Especially for American Christians
by Tom Stewart
"Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon [the United States of America], make
the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both
devised and done that which He spake against the inhabitants of Babylon"
(Jeremiah 51:12).
Preface
oon after Dumitru Duduman came to God, he
received the in-filling or baptism of the Holy Spirit. "And be not drunk with wine,
wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18). Dumitru
demonstrated this filling of the Spirit through his preaching of the Word of God. Duduman
testified, "People came to God by the hundreds." This was Communist Romania
before the Iron Curtain came down.
Like the Apostle Paul, the LORD Jesus would show Dumitru Duduman "how great things he
must suffer for [His] Name's sake" (Acts 9:16). As suffering refines Christians, so
Dumitru Duduman was refined and prepared for the express purpose of giving America "a
message from God". "That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and
the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death" (Philippians
3:10).
Opposition: Maria is Blinded
hen God's people do right, Satan becomes
enraged. "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion,
walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" (1Peter 5:8). Such was the case for
Dumitru and Maria Duduman. At this time Maria, Dumitru's wife, was blinded. Why would a
Loving God allow this to happen? "It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that
I might learn Thy Statutes" (Psalm 119:71). Like the Apostle Paul, Maria and Dumitru
were to learn lessons from this experience that would increase their usefulness to the
LORD Jesus Christ.
"And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations,
there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I
should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the LORD thrice, that it might
depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is
made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities,
that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in
reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I
am weak, then am I strong" (2Corinthians 12:7-10).
Maria was taken to "all the doctors", and Dumitru spent all the money that he
had accumulated as a former Army officer. "And had suffered many things of many
physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew
worse" (Mark 5:26). He was discouraged and quit going to church. Though Dumitru would
later acquit himself as a prophet of God to the United States of America, he demonstrated
a common but inexcusable fleshly failing of doubt and despair. "Elias was a man
subject to like passions as we are" (James 5:17). At this time, Dumitru's father, who
was a Pentecostal preacher, asked, "Why don't you come to church anymore?"
Dumitru made plain his bitterness about God allowing Maria to be blinded. The senior
Duduman invited Dumitru to try his doctor. "Who is it?" asked Dumitru. "It
is Jesus Christ," his father replied. Jesus "healed all that were sick: That it
might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our
infirmities, and bare our sicknesses" (Matthew 8:16-17).
The senior Duduman outlined the plan to Dumitru. "Let our family unite, and tonight I
will ask who wants to help us in prayer and fasting." With the assistance of
"forty brothers", they fasted for three weeks in accordance with Isaiah 58:6.
"Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo
the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?"
No food or water for 21 days! Dumitru Duduman reflected about that fast, "When you
are hungry, eat the Bible. When you are thirsty, get on your knees and raise your hands up
and drink from the Living River."
Imagine the drama unfolding to the 40, who were waiting three weeks in fasting and prayer
for the healing of Maria's eyes! Let Dumitru tell us what happened. "When the fasting
was over, my wife was in bed. The Spirit of God came and threw her out. She started
thanking God, but she did not know the reason. Then my dad came into the house. She looked
toward the door, and she could see my dad. She said, 'Dad, I can see! I can see!'"
"There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, Who rideth upon the heaven in thy help,
and in His excellency on the sky" (Deuteronomy 33:26).
Beginning of the Bible Distribution Ministry
oon Dumitru began to notice the lack of
Bibles throughout the churches. Often he could not find more than two or three Bibles in a
congregation of 600 to 800 members. Because he had personally allowed Bibles to be
smuggled in through the Black Sea-- he was once an unconverted military official in charge
of stopping illegal Bibles-- he knew that Bibles had to be available. "The Word of
God is not bound" (2Timothy 2:9).
Further inquiry found that the Bibles were coming in through Communist hands. After the
Communists sold the Christians the Bibles, the police would be told, and would confiscate
the Bibles. The Christians copied verses out of Bibles and gave them out to the brethren
as they met together. Dumitru advised all Christians, "The mother of all books is the
Bible. The Bible is the WORD OF GOD. With the WORD OF GOD in you, the devil cannot be
victorious over you." "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil,
as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the
faith [which comes by the Word of God], knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished
in your brethren that are in the world" (1Peter 5:8-9).
Attempting to make contact with the missionaries who were bringing in the Bibles at the
piers, Dumitru took a job as a cook at the piers. About two months later, the voice from
God sounded again in his ear, "Dumitru, run to the pier. Dave is coming." Dave
was the original missionary that the Voice from the LORD told Dumitru to spare and help
bring in Bibles, back in Duduman's unconverted military days. When God etches His
"still small voice" (1Kings 19:12) on our consciousness, mark it down that He is
talking to you as plainly as He did even to the unconverted Dumitru Duduman. Dave helped
Dumitru contact Brother Andrew, Brother Worburt, and Brother Harlan Popove. They supplied
the Bibles that Dumitru distributed. Within three years, most churches had Bibles. And,
"the Word of God grew and multiplied" (Acts 12:24).
The Communist government cracked down on the Bible distributors, and closed the borders to
all foreigners. The Christian people prayed. God answered with a powerful rain that
flooded half of Romania in 1970. The government was forced to appeal for help from
foreigners. The borders were reopened. "Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and
shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not" (Jeremiah 33:3).
When the supply of Romanian Bibles ran out, they brought in Russian Bibles. For the next
four years, Duduman made "Bible warehouses" to distribute these Russian Bibles.
However, living only 9 miles from the Russian border, he still could not distribute these
Russian Bibles into Russia. Again, Dumitru's father came to his aid. "My son, hear
the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother" (Proverbs 1:8).
Upon questioning his son, the senior Duduman determined that Dumitru had not sufficiently
placed the need of distributing these Russian Bibles before the LORD in prayer. He told
Dumitru, "Fast and pray, and God will come to show you [how to distribute the
Bibles]."
After fasting, a man came to Dumitru and gave him an address and the name of someone to
talk to. "And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His Commandments,
and do those things that are pleasing in His sight" (1John 3:22). "When you get
there, tell them you were sent by the one who was there earlier. I will be ahead of
you." Arriving at 8 o'clock in the morning, at a train station on the Russian border,
Dumitru knocked on the door. The man who answered the door was shaking when he answered
Dumitru, "What do you want me to do?" Dumitru told him that he wanted to take
Bibles into Russia. The man promptly showed Dumitru what to do to load the Bibles onto the
train, beginning a 15 year distribution of about 300,000 Bibles and New Testaments into
Russia.
Who but an angel could have prepared this opportunity for Dumitru Duduman? "Be not
forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares"
(Hebrews 13:2). The angel of God would come to help when they got into trouble. "Are
they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of
salvation?" (Hebrews 1:14). Angels are most noticeable in helping the Saints
establish the early Church, as seen in the Book of Acts. The heaviest mention of angels in
the New Testament is the Book of Revelations, describing the time we are now entering.
Helping Fellow Christians
hen Dumitru and his fellow Christians
heard about the arrest of other Christians in Kishno, Russia, they determined to take them
aid. "Naked, and ye clothed Me: I was sick, and ye visited Me: I was in prison, and
ye came unto Me" (Matthew 25:36). Locating the families proved difficult. They fasted
and prayed for three days, until the angel of God told them, "Come with me. I will
show you where the families are." They loaded two cars with everything the families
needed, and proceeded to the "Black Valley"-- followed by the "Russian
spies". As the police kept gaining on them, they cried out to God for deliverance. It
began to sprinkle. Hailstones began to fall. The windshield of the police car was broken
out by the hailstones; so, they lost their police escort. "The LORD also thundered in
the heavens, and the Highest gave His Voice; hail stones and coals of fire" (Psalm
18:13). Safely, they unloaded their cargo, to the great joy of the needy families.
Arrested for Well Doing
eturning from their mission of love, they
were stopped at a police roadblock. Dumitru was arrested, because he did not have a
passport. "But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to
bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive" (Genesis 50:20). Dumitru
Duduman was placed in a Russian jail. The police told the criminals in the jail to do to
him anything they wanted. Dumitru understood Russian. Dumitru addressed his fellow
inmates, "Brothers, we are all brothers here. We are all condemned here. Don't do
what the police say. I know Someone who can come to free us." "Then Philip
opened his mouth, and began at the same Scripture, and preached unto him Jesus" (Acts
8:35). Their criminal hearts were softened, and they began to cry.
When the police realized that nothing was happening in the cell, they put Dumitru in
solitary confinement. Dumitru warned his jailers, "Come to God, or you will go to
hell." "And now, LORD, behold their threatenings: and grant unto Thy servants,
that with all boldness they may speak Thy Word" (Acts 4:29). The Romanian police
arrived to take custody of Dumitru from the Russian police. Duduman was returned to his
house.
The Police Search for the Bibles
he police were busy searching his house
for Bibles. Dumitru, Maria, and his daughter were required to stand facing the wall from 8
AM to 4 PM, while the police searched. "My grace is sufficient for thee: for My
strength is made perfect in weakness" (2Corinthians 12:9). Finally, they asked
Dumitru, "Where do you have the Bibles?" When Dumitru determined that they had
not found any, he replied, "If you did not find any, that means I don't have
any." Duduman explains to us, "God had broken their equipment and blinded their
eyes. They walked over the Bibles, and they couldn't even see them. That's how God
protects the Bibles." "I will worship toward Thy Holy Temple, and praise Thy
Name for thy lovingkindness and for Thy Truth: for Thou hast magnified Thy WORD above
all Thy Name" (Psalm 138:2).
"Where do you have your warehouses?" demanded the police. When Dumitru evaded
answering them, they promised that Dumitru would tell them. He was put into a dark cell--
with large rats! When Dumitru understood his plight, he yelled at the top of his voice,
"God, don't let me down!" "Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to
help me, O LORD" (Psalm 70:1). Immediately, a powerful light appeared in his cell.
Out of the light, a voice spoke, "Dumitru, don't be afraid. I am with you. Look at
me." When Dumitru looked up, he was thrown down by the power of the light. Again, the
voice said, "Dumitru, look at me." Dumitru asked, "Who are you?" The
reply, "I am the angel Gabriel. I am the messenger of Heaven. I came to help you.
Look at me." Dumitru Duduman saw a man dressed in "shiny clothes" with a
"wide belt around his waist". He wore a helmet and had a flaming sword in his
hand.
Dumitru Duduman Suffers for the LORD Jesus Christ
he angel Gabriel proceeded to comfort and
advise Dumitru. "Dumitru, don't be afraid. You will go through many tortures, but I
will be with you." On reflection, we underestimate the value of the presence of God.
"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against
us?" (Romans 8:31). The angel Gabriel said, "Look around." The floor was
covered with dead rats. The jailer knocked on the door and asked, "Are you still
alive?" Dumitru answered, "Yes." "My God hath sent His angel, and hath
shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before Him innocency was
found in me" (Daniel 6:22 ). When the jailer saw all the dead rats, he flew into a
rage. He promised Dumitru, "I am going to kill you." Let the reader always
remember that God alone has the control of life and death, not man. "See now that I,
even I, am He, and there is no god with Me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal:
neither is there any that can deliver out of My hand" (Deuteronomy 32:39).
For five months, Dumitru Duduman endured all manner of tortures. "There hath no
temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but GOD IS FAITHFUL, Who will
not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also
make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it" (1Corinthians 10:13). The Voice
from the LORD came to his ear, "Dumitru, don't tell. Don't confess." When asked
why he endured all of this-- the police were demanding a confession that would implicate
all the Bible smugglers-- Dumitru replied, "If I would have told, hundreds of
brothers would have to be arrested. Then many of their children would have starved to
death. Then the work of God would have been stopped." "And whether one member
suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice
with it" (1Corinthians 12:26).
Isn't Dumitru Duduman only illustrating the reality of the Christian walk? "I am
crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the
life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me,
and gave Himself for me" (Galatians 2:20). If we are crucified to self, we are alive
to Christ-- and alive to the Body of Christ, "which is the Church" (Colossians
1:24). He looked out for the welfare of the Body of Christ, not his personal welfare.
Dumitru Duduman did not focus on the pain. He focused on the LORD Jesus Christ, "Who
for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross" (Hebrews 12:2). Dumitru
Duduman illustrated that the exalted name of "Christian" simply means to be like
Christ.
Christians know that the blood of Jesus washes away our sins. "But if we walk in the
Light, as He is in the Light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus
Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin" (1John 1:7). Dumitru was placed in a
special electric chair for a shock torture-- that convinced him that he was going to die.
As he began to think that thought, "that same light appeared".
"Dumitru," the voice said, "don't be afraid. You won't die. Plead the blood
of Jesus." Duduman began saying, "The blood of Jesus, the blood of Jesus."
When he came to, they were throwing cold water on him. He was told that they had recorded
his confession. They played back a tape where he repeated, "The blood of Jesus, the
blood of Jesus." They asked why he repeated that statement. He answered,
"Because you want to kill me." They promised to complete the job they had
started. "Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God?" (Romans
9:20).
Maria Duduman Also Suffers for the LORD Jesus Christ
t was the next day when they brought in
Dumitru Duduman's wife, Maria. She was placed in a room where Dumitru could hear her. They
told her that Dumitru had confessed everything, but she was to give a confession, as well.
She refused to admit to knowing about any Bibles, even if it would gain Dumitru's release.
"If any man come to Me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children,
and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple"
(Luke 14:26). She was beaten until she fell unconscious. Unsuccessful, they took her back
home. Dumitru and Maria were truly "one flesh" (Ephesians 5:31). They walked
like Christians should, in a Christian marriage-- in agreement. "Can two walk
together, except they be agreed?" (Amos 3:3).
They told Dumitru that Maria had been interrogated, and had told them everything. "If
she told you, she knows. I don't know anything about it," responded Dumitru.
"The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the
LORD" (Proverbs 16:1). Again, Dumitru was placed in the electric chair with an even
higher power setting. When Dumitru thought himself to be dead, the angel of God spoke.
"Dumitru, don't be afraid. You won't die. Plead the blood of Jesus. Your enemy will
die. You will live. You have to go through one more powerful torture; then I will take you
out of their hands."
Dumitru's Release From Prison
s Gabriel told him, Dumitru began to
plead, "The blood of Jesus". Again, they were throwing cold water on him when he
came to. Again, they replayed the tape with Dumitru pleading the blood of Jesus. Enraged,
the order was given, "Kill him". Six policemen pounced on Dumitru, kicking him
so badly that he received 9 cracked ribs. He was so badly mashed that he fell into a coma.
When he awoke, a doctor was giving him a shot in the arm. He said, "Dumitru, your God
still let you live." "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the
LORD" (Psalm 118:17).
Another officer yelled to the doctor, "Hurry up. The colonel is dying." Within a
half hour, another colonel came and humbly asked Dumitru to get dressed. "Why?"
asked Duduman. He said, "Your God gave you judgment. Colonel Prestov died, and the
commander told me to take you home fast." When Duduman asked how he died, the colonel
replied, "He had internal bleeding, and fell down and died." "For without
cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my
soul. Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch
himself: into that very destruction let him fall" (Psalm 35:7-8).
For three months, Dumitru Duduman languished in bed waiting for death. He said, "God,
kill me." But, God would not comply. Why did God allow Dumitru Duduman to suffer so
greatly? Suffering is God's way of teaching His people. Look at the life of the LORD Jesus
Christ. "Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he
suffered" (Hebrews 5:8). If suffering was used to teach even the Sinless Son of
Man obedience, why should it be different with us? But, what is it that the LORD must
teach us? Christians must learn more about Christ, to be more like Him.
"Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and
ye shall find rest unto your souls" (Matthew 11:29). Sanctification is this
process of becoming more like the LORD Jesus, and suffering is merely a teaching tool.
"Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the
afflictions of Christ in my flesh for His Body's sake, which is the Church"
(Colossians 1:24).
God Heals Dumitru and Prepares Him to Come to America
od did not forget Dumitru Duduman. After
three months, Dumitru thought there was "no more hope". While his family slept,
he saw the "same light" and heard a voice, "Dumitru, get up. Get out!"
"And, behold, the angel of the LORD came upon him, and a light shined in the prison:
and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his
chains fell off from his hands" (Acts 12:7). Dumitru quickly got out of bed and went
outside. The angel asked, "Do you still hurt?" Dumitru said, "No." The
angel asked, "Can you walk?" "Yes," replied Dumitru. "Then start
working," counselled the angel. "You have four more years to carry Bibles. The
police will follow you step by step, but I will be with you. I will blind their eyes. They
won't catch you. When they see that they can't catch you, they will kick you out of your
country." Further, the angel said, "You will be exiled July 22,1984 at 10 AM.
You are going to America to give them a message from God."
Even as the LORD Jesus made blind eyes to see, He blinded the eyes of the border guards as
Duduman hauled Bibles into Russia for four years. Duduman would pack the car so full with
Bibles that there was barely enough room for him to sit. The border guard would ask,
"Dumitru, what do you have in the car?" Dumitru would answer,
"Bibles." Obviously blinded to the the fact that the car was full of Bibles, the
border guard would say, "Stop making fun of us! Go on, get out of here." As
Dumitru reflected, "They couldn't see them." Truly, we can agree with King
Darius' assessment of the Good LORD (Psalm 86:5): "He delivereth and rescueth, and he
worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel [and Dumitru
Duduman] from the power of the lions" (Daniel 6:27). Likewise, God has promised the
same to you readers, as He did to the Apostle Paul: "I was delivered out of the mouth
of the lion. And the LORD shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve
me unto His Heavenly Kingdom: to Whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen" (2 Timothy
4:17-18).
On July 22,1984 at 10 AM, the stewardess was welcoming the passengers as the plane
departed from the gate-- with Dumitru Duduman and family-- exactly as the angel of God
foretold. Dumitru had been kicked out of his native Romania. "Wherefore, sirs, be of
good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me" (Acts 27:25).
He was taken to Italy, where he was preserved from secret police, who were sent to kill
him. "For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not His Saints; they are preserved
for ever" (Psalm 37:28). The American embassy in Italy arranged for Duduman to come
to California (USA).
Dumitru Duduman and Family Come to America
ponsored by a Russian organization named
Tolstoy, Dumitru found himself in a country that could not understand his speech, nor he
theirs. He found himself in a dirty apartment without a bit of furniture. To make matters
worse, there was a terrible stench from the carpet-- dogs from the previous occupant.
Dumitru accurately declared his state of mind, "I was in despair." "For I
said in my haste, I am cut off from before Thine eyes" (Psalm 31:22). He looked at
other places "for rent", but no children were allowed. "What kind of people
are these? They keep dogs in the house, and they don't want children?" thought
Dumitru.
Duduman asked, "Why, God, did you punish me? Why did you bring me to this country? I
can't understand anybody. If I ask anybody anything, I can't understand them."
"And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, LORD, wherefore hast thou so evil
entreated this people? why is it that Thou hast sent me?" (Exodus 5:22). Late that
night, Duduman was sitting outside of the apartment on a rock because of the smell in the
apartment. A light came towards him that made him think of the headlights of the Romanian
police. He jumped up as the light surrounded him. "Dumitru, why are you so
despaired?" that same voice that he heard in jail asked him. Dumitru presented his
complaint, "Why did you punish me? Why did you bring me to this country? I have
nowhere to lay my head down. I can't understand anybody."
The reply was, "Dumitru, didn't I tell you I am here with you also?" "Lo, I
am with you alway, even unto the end of the world" (Matthew 28:20). "I brought
you to this country because this country will burn." "Then why did you bring me
here to burn? Why didn't you let me die in my own country? You should have let me die in
jail in Romania!" The angel said, "Dumitru, have patience so I can tell you. Get
on this." Duduman recalls, "I got on something next to him. I don't know what it
was. I also know that I was not asleep. It was not a dream. It was not a vision. I was
awake just as I am now." "For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are
dust" (Psalm 103:14).
God's Message: America Will Burn !
he angel proceeded to show Dumitru
Duduman all of the State of California (USA) and its cities. He said, "This is Sodom
and Gomorrah! All of this, in one day it will burn! It's sin has reached the Holy
One." Then he showed him the city of Las Vegas, Nevada (USA). "This is Sodom and
Gomorrah. In one day it will burn." "And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom
and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous..." (Genesis 18:20).
Next, he showed Dumitru the State of New York (USA). Again, "This is Sodom and
Gomorrah. In one day it will burn." Showing Dumitru the State of Florida (USA) he
said, "This is Sodom and Gomorrah. In one day it will burn." "And Babylon,
the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God
overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah" (Isaiah 13:19). The angel completed Dumitru Duduman's
tour of the coming destruction of the United States of America with these words: "All
of this I have shown you - IN ONE DAY IT WILL BURN!" "The LORD is not
slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to
us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"
(2Peter 3:9).
When Dumitru pointed out his limitations in reaching Americans, the angel responded,
"Don't worry yourself. I will go before you. I will do a lot of healing in the
American churches, and I will open the doors for you. But do not say anything else besides
what I tell you. This country will burn!" Further, the angel said, "Remember
what I am telling you, because you will go on television, on the radio and in churches.
You must yell with a loud voice. Do not be afraid, because I will be with you."
"And Moses said unto the LORD, O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor
since Thou hast spoken unto Thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or
the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with thy
mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say" (Exodus 4:10-12).
How Will America Burn ?
hen Duduman asked, "How will America
burn? America is the most powerful country in this world." Concerning America's trust
in its own power, God said, "Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on
horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are
very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!"
(Isaiah 31:1). The angel explained, "The Russian spies have discovered where the
nuclear warehouses are in America. When the Americans will think that it is peace and
safety - from the middle of the country, some of the people will start fighting against
the government. The government will be busy with internal problems. Then from the ocean,
from Cuba, Nicaragua, Mexico,..." (He told me two other countries, but I didn't
remember what they were.) "...they will bomb the nuclear warehouses. When they
explode, America will burn!" [In another of Duduman's prophecies, Russia is clearly
described as attacking the United States of America.] "For when they shall say, Peace
and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child;
and they shall not escape" (1Thessalonians 5:3).
What About the American Churches ?
hat will you do with the church?"
Duduman asked. "The churches have forsaken me." "How?" inquired
Dumitru. The angel responded, "The people praise themselves. The honor that the
people are supposed to give Jesus Christ, they take upon themselves. In the churches there
are divorces. There is adultery in the churches. There are homosexuals in the churches.
There is abortion in the churches; and all other sins that are possible. Because of the
sin, I have left some of the churches. You must yell in a loud voice that they must put an
end to their sinning. They must turn toward the LORD. The LORD never gets tired of
forgiving. They must draw close to the LORD, and live a clean live. If they have sinned
until now, they must put an end to it, and start a new life as the Bible tells them to
live." "Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew My
People their transgression, and the House of Jacob their sins" (Isaiah 58:1).
"What will you do with the Church of the LORD? How will you save the ones that will
turn toward you?" Dumitru asked the angel. He said, "Tell them this: how I
saved the three young ones from the furnace of fire, and how I saved Daniel in the lions
den, is the same way I will save them." Both times God saved his obedient servants
from their earthly king. "Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning
fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the
most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came
forth of the midst of the fire" (Daniel 3:26). Compare that deliverance, which came
in conjunction with Nebuchadnezzar's command to "Come forth, and come hither"
(3:26), with the Pre-Tribulational Rapture command to "Come up hither"
(Revelation 4:1).
Why Has America Been Blessed ?
o the degree that America has honoured
God, America has been honoured by God. "Them that honour Me I will honour, and they
that despise Me shall be lightly esteemed" (1Samuel 2:30). America has promoted the
WORD of God, and God has promoted America. "For Thou hast magnified Thy WORD above
all Thy Name" (Psalm 138:2 ). It is no wonder that America has prospered so greatly,
because God has showered His blessing and grace so richly upon this nation "from sea
to shining sea". "The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and He addeth no
sorrow with it" (Proverbs 10:22). Unfortunately, American Christianity has forgotten
God, and God has forgotten America. "Thou hast rejected the WORD of the LORD, and the
LORD hath rejected thee" (1Samuel 15:26). American Christianity is as the Church
of Laodicea. "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I
will spue thee out of My mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with
goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable,
and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of Me gold tried in the fire,
that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the
shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou
mayest see" (Revelation 3:16-18).
The angel explained part of the reason why America has been blessed. "I have
blessed this country because of the Jewish people who are in this country. I have seven
million Jews in this country, but they do not want to recognize the LORD. They didn't want
to thank God for the blessings they received in this country." The Abrahamic Covenant
still has a provision for the physical offspring of Abraham, i.e., the Jews, to bless them
that well treat even the unconverted Jew. "And I will bless them that bless thee, and
curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed"
(Genesis 12:3).
The still functioning Davidic Covenant provides God with the means to chasten and restore
unconverted Israel after nearly two millennia of forsaking her Messiah. In particular, the
Davidic Covenant ensures Jehovah's lovingkindness to David's physical offspring, so that
David's "throne shall be established forever" (2Samuel 7:16). "If his
children [the physical offspring of King David] forsake My Law, and walk not in My
Judgments; if they break My Statutes, and keep not My Commandments; then will I visit
their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. Nevertheless My
lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer My Faithfulness to
fail. My Covenant [the Davidic Covenant] will I not break, nor alter the thing that is
gone out of My lips" (Psalm 89:30-34). America has been a tool for God to fulfill His
Promise to not utterly take away His lovingkindness from the seed of David. America is, in
part, this "utterly" of God's lovingkindness to David's seed. David's seed has
been preserved, in part, as a result of the "utterly" blessing that America has
been to David.
Thus, in some measure, God has blessed America because America has shown kindness
to the physical offspring of David, as well as fulfilling the Abrahamic Covenant of
blessing. This is actually one of the method's of the Holy One to prepare the way for the
crowning of the LORD Jesus Christ, "of the seed of David according to the flesh"
(Romans 1:3), in His Millennial Kingdom to "sit upon [King David's] throne for
evermore" (Psalm 132:12).
Israel Will Eventually Turn to the Messiah for
Deliverance
he angel continued, "Israel doesn't
want to recognize Jesus Christ. They put their faith in the Jewish people in
America." "Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and
maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD" (Jeremiah 17:5).
"But, when America burns, the LORD will raise China, Japan and other nations to go
against the Russians. They will beat the Russians and push them all the way to the gates
of Paris. Over there they will make a treaty, and appoint the Russians as their leaders.
They will then unite against Israel," said the angel about Israel's future.
This author (WStS) believes that the angel's reference to a Paris peace treaty with the
Russians, which establishes "the Russians as their leaders", points to the
"covenant with many for one week" (Daniel 9:27). However, the Antichrist CANNOT
be one of the Russians that they have appointed "as their leaders". I believe
that Russia, i.e., Gog of Ezekiel 38-39, is supernaturally defeated by Jehovah (Ezekiel
38:21-23) only days before the Middle of the Tribulation Week; hence, a Russian leader could
not qualify as Antichrist to complete the Tribulation Week-- as Antichrist will. [See
our article, "Tribulation
Timeline: When Shall These Things Be? (Part 2)" concerning the "6th Seal
Judgment" for our perspective on the Russian invasion of Israel.] The Antichrist will
only be one of the signers of this "covenant with many" (Daniel 9:27) at the
Beginning of the Week, and will not be viewed as the leader of Satan's New World Order
until the Abomination of Desolation (Matthew 24:15) in the "midst [middle] of the
week" (Daniel 9:27).
The angel elaborated on how Israel would finally be saved. "When Israel realizes she
does not have the strength of America behind her, she will be frightened." Though I
believe that the United States of America is destroyed as a nation between the
Pre-Tribulational Rapture of the Church and the Beginning of the Seventieth Week of
Daniel, Israel's new benefactor will be the Antichrist-- taking America's former place--
who ensures Israel's tranquility until the Middle of the Tribulation Week. "In the
midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the
overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation"
(Daniel 9:27). Continuing, the angel said, "That's when she will turn to the Messiah
for deliverance." At this time (toward the Middle of the Tribulation Week) the
144,000 "servants of our God... of all the tribes of the children of Israel"
(Revelation 7:3,4) are sealed. This is the "deliverance" referred to by the
angel, at this point in his narrative.
The Pre-Wrath Rapture, Then the Second Coming
hat's when the Messiah will come. Then,
the church will meet Jesus in the air," related the angel. The Messiah coming and the
Church meeting Him in the air, describes the Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Tribulation Saints
(Revelation 11:12,15). Only Two Resurrections are described in Scripture, i.e., the
First Resurrection of the Blessed and Holy (Revelation 20:6) at the Pre-Wrath Rapture, and
the Second Resurrection of Damnation (John 5:29) after the Millennium at the Great White
Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11-13). At the time of the Pre-Wrath Rapture-- 8-9 days
before the End of the Tribulation Week-- when Messiah comes and the Church meets Him in
the air, will be the fulfillment of the classic Rapture/Resurrection passage of
1Thessalonians 4:16-17: "For the LORD Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the Archangel, and with the Trump of God: and the Dead in Christ shall
rise first: then we which are Alive and Remain shall be caught up together with them in
the clouds, to meet the LORD in the air: and so shall we ever be with the LORD"
(1Thessalonians 4:16-17).
"He will bring them back with Him to the Mount of Olives. At that time the battle of
Armageddon will be fought," the angel said to Dumitru. The Second Coming of the LORD
Jesus Christ involves the triumphal return of all the Saints with the LORD Jesus back to
planet Earth. All the Saints includes those who have been translated without dying, i.e.,
Enoch (Genesis 5:24), those who have been Pre-Tribulationally Raptured (Revelation 4:1),
those who have been Pre-Wrath Raptured (11:12,15), and those who have been Resurrected as
the Just at the Last Trump (20:6). At the Second Advent (after the Tribulation Week) the
LORD Jesus "shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives" (Zechariah 14:4).
His Coming will climax the Battle of Armageddon. "And out of His mouth goeth a Sharp
Sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a Rod of
Iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He
hath on His vesture and on His thigh a Name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF
LORDS" (Revelation 19:15-16).
Dumitru proceeded to ask the angel for Biblical support for what the angel had just said.
What Scripture supports the concept that the United States of America is Babylon the
Great? The angel then told Duduman to tell everyone to read Jeremiah 51:8-15
["Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed" (v. 8)]; Revelation 18
["Babylon the great is fallen" (v. 2)]; and Zechariah 14 [(Jesus) "shall
stand in that day upon the mount of Olives" (v. 4)]. The angel added, "After His
victory there will be one flock and one Shepherd. There will be no need for light. The
Lamb of God will be the Light. There will be no sickness, no tears, and no deaths. There
will only be eternal joy and God will be the ruler. There will be only one language. Only
one song."
Duduman was then warned, "If you keep anything from the American people that you are
told, I will punish you severely." The prophet Ezekiel was given the same kind of
warning-- "his blood will I require at thine hand". "When I say unto the
wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the
wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his
iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand... Again, When a righteous man doth
turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him,
he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his
righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at
thine hand" (Ezekiel 3:18,20).
Conclusion
ow will I know that this is for real--
that it will really happen?" Dumitru asked. "As a sign that I have spoken to
you, tomorrow before you wake I will send someone to bring you a bed, and at noon I will
send you a car and a bucket of honey. After which [also], I will send someone to pay your
rent." It happened as the angel said. "At 9 [AM] someone rang my doorbell and
said, 'I brought you a bed. I could not sleep all night long. God told me that you were
from Romania and that you need a bed.' At 10:30 [AM] someone else rang my doorbell and
handed me a check for $500 and said, 'God told me to bring you $500.' At noon someone came
and gave me a car and a bucket of honey!" Hallelujah! "I believe God, that it
shall be even as it was told me" (Acts 27:25).
